DX. 23.07.2011 Sporadic-E (TV)

Paul in Sussex,England had this recently and it remained a mystery as no
on screen logo was seen.The signal came in here in S Portugal this afternoon
quite weakly but the Cameroon logo is clearly visible at times at the top left.
Some white writing is also visible at the bottom.Signal was almost certainly via double hop

No audio was there so I just used the video AM carrier buzz as a soundtrack.

Frequency is very close to 62.249 MHz but the carrier has a slight tendency to
"warble" when listening to it.

E2 Cameroon was in at the time on different programme material with a darker
version of this logo at the top right of screen.

At one point a very wide carrier (sounding like the old Equatorial Guinea
E2)"frying noise" appeared 300 Hz above the clean Cameroon TV carrier spreading
out several hundred Hz each side of its nominal centre.
