Walls (and posters for them ^_^)

Startbeitrag von shosuro_josai am 07.05.2004 06:16

"Any defending unit gets the skill Fast Strike during the first turn they are engaged in this way. Any unit that already has the skill Fast Strike gets the skill First Strike until the end of the turn. Attacking units that have the skill Fast Strike or First Strike loose those skills in the first turn of such an engagement."

This strikes me as a bit harsh (pardon the pun). A better arrangement might to to have Units attacking the wall with first strike go down a notch instead of losing the ability all together (going from first strike to fast strike instead). Considering that the number of units with first strike is pretty limited, i doubt it will make that much of an impact, other than allowing them to strike at the same time as the defenders.

just a thought.

Just going thru the rules section by section in more detail, as i have time. (still adding final touches to my new shiro ^_^)

Ok, good idea, yes I think we can do it that way.

How about a "O-Ushi-Swimsuit-Poster" special defensive ability for crabs? The attacker gets a -1 on all attacks if the crabs put up a wallposter of O-Ushi (loss of concentration, you know ;-)).

the idea with this was, that units with spears cannot climb and use them at once. so i would say, this was -and is- the right way. and don't forget, the attacker has 50% more in koku than the defender ... if it shows, that the rule is too hard, than we instead should adjust the koku ballance between attacker and defender than changing the rule. and the other point is, that you could use siegetowers instead, so you don't have the disadvantage of climbing up a wall. just my opinion of that.
