WD16 - (audit trail) Is there a function that can identify what fields were Edited when doing an HModify?

Startbeitrag von DanM am 28.03.2012 22:07

Example ...

If I have 50 fields in a window and the user changes 2 of them then click the button which runs HModify ....

Is there a function that can identify which fields were modified and let me know what it was (before the change) and what is was changed to?

I am trying to save a record every time a record is modified with the details of what was changed, when and by who.

Opinions, suggestions and pointing me in the right direction ... always appreciated

Thank Dan

Hello Dan

You can use the inbuilt logging in the analysis which will do it all automatically, or you could roll your own with FileToMemory() to store the before information and a test afterwards.

Al,

Thanks again, ... for the Direction!

Are you the same Al that helped me out about 3 years ago when I was just getting started in WinDev (and was completely clueless) ... when I called you?

Dan,

maybe this could also be interesting for you:

or maybe you should take a look at the MyEntryField..FileLink property.
