Re: Windev and MsSQL

Hello,

I'm heavily using MsSQL. When I purchase Windev, is that necessary to purchase native access for MsSQL too ? Is there any other way to connect to SQL Server, with purchasing native access ? If available, is that method dependable ?

TIA

I think MsSQL Native is probably free at the moment.

Re: Windev and MsSQL

Hi Yogi,

You have to pay for SQL Server. Prices are the same for V18, good for one server: http://www.windev.com/pcsoft/prices.php#SQLServer

Re: Windev and MsSQL

Hello,

So, it's not a must that we have to purchase Native access for SQL Server, to use that database. Other methods of connections (OLE-DB, OLE-DB Provider, ....) are also possible.

OK, If I purchase Native access for SQL Server, can I re-distribute that to my clients ?

Thanks

Re: Windev and MsSQL

Hi,
No you cannot re-distribute the Native Access of SQL Server to your clients ...
Every client must purchase the Native Access for EVERY server he uses.

I don't have a problem with the above scenario - although I would prefer it to be royalty free - but I think PCSoft could give the developers a FREE licence for testing purposes.
