Equivalent features in WD

Startbeitrag von Yogi Yang am 11.06.2013 11:07

In the software powered by BDE that I am converting we have used its filtering features like: SetRangeStart, SetRangeEnd, etc. on a table loaded in DataSet.

Are there any thing equivalent in WD?

TIA

Hi,

if you mean range of dates then you can use the conditions for dates in the query-editor.

Hi Yogi,

And if it was done not as part of a query, but only as a filter, then the filter functions would be what you are looking for. (HFilter(), HActivateFilter(), ...) http://doc.pcsoft.fr/en-US/?3044196

@Alexandre,

Thanks for the tip. This is what I need to use.

I will have to use Filter functions.

I have read the documentation and will try to apply them as needed.

Once again thanks for the tip.

I would recommend going with the query option. Though you are doing a conversion, this is a great opportunity to use the best features of WD and not try to replicate exactly how the previous software was written. Check the many query vs. hfilter discussions on the forum.

What database will you be using?

I am using currently HF Classic and then once the software is completed I would like to switch to HFCS so that my app becomes multiuser ready!
