WD17: how to automate execution of javascript in HTML control??

Startbeitrag von DanM am 15.06.2013 17:49

We currently are having difficulty working with several sites which are using Javascript,"callback procedures", and scripts to place/display data to their websites for the inital page and to page through multiple pages of data.

I have been using the HTML control in WD17 to get to the underlying HTML code, for most of the data collection.

I asked for help from PC Soft :

ME : I am trying to navigate through a website by simulating a click on a link (page 1 2 3 4 5 6) which would execute a javascript script in an HTML Control.
Is there a function to execute a javascript script that is located in a HTML Control.

Reproduction protocol:
go to : http://www.richardsonrfpd.com/Pages/Product-End-Category.aspx?productCategory=10068
then click on the page links (2 3 4 5 6)
The link code is : http://screencast.com/t/sk02dkKAFaQ

The script Code for the doPostBack is : (to go to the 2nd page)

PCSOFT : "I'm sorry to say that there is no way to do that. The HTML control is an ActiveX control.
Maybe you can find another ActiveX that would allow such type of interaction with the HTML."

ME : Is there a way to do it using WebDev in the Browser code using javascript?

PCSOFT : You certainly obtain this result by using Javascript. I' am sorry but The Free Technical Support could not assist you to use Javascript.
For programming modules extern at PC SOFT, our service "Assistance Direct" could help you. If you are interested in that service, please
contact our Sales Department that will make every effort to find the best solution for you.

Can anyone recommend any suggestions on a technique, example, direction to look into to perform this type of function in an automated way on my part? (automate processing of javascript)
