How to global define object

Startbeitrag von Tor-Bjarne am 11.10.2013 13:05

In WinDev 18, guess I`m probably doing something wrong, here is my Project-code:

ao is object File_Audit dynamic = new File_Audit

gnTriggerResult is int = HDescribeTrigger("Company", "HADD,HMODIFY," + ...
"HDELETE, HCROSS,HWRITE", "ao:Trigger_Code", hTriggerBefore)

The "ao:Trigger_code" is a method in the file_audit class

Windev gives me error:

Failure retrieving procedure
'Trigger_Code' method of 'ao' class is not global

- Why? it is all in the project code? - Seems global to me :)

I am not using the trigger this way, so I'm not SURE about my answer, however... GLOBAL doesn't mean the same thing for a class and for a variable...

here it seems that to have a change to work with a class method, you'll need to declare that method as global, and use it as such: CLASSName::Method (instead of declared Object name:Method)

Best regards
