[WD19] Editor and code history

Startbeitrag von Michael Drechsel am 09.07.2014 21:08

WD19 makes me crazy.

1. The editor deletes from time to time some code lines if I insert/copy/paste something.
2. My code history is switched off (I don´t know when this happens, I switch the checkbox on and some hours/days it is off)

Do you have same experience ?

Hello Michael

Yes. It happens in V18 and V19.
What I get is a couple of ascii characters in place of the text.
I have not been able to work out a pattern of why it occurs.
I have not noticed the code history issue issue because although I have it turned on I rarely need to use it.

Hi Michael, Al

WD also loses other editor settings randomly, probably after WD has tilted, which nowadays (WD19) happens more frequently than before (WD18). For instance the "cycle the code windows" (old menu) or "re-use the same code window" (new menu) setting is usually checked, and I have to repeatedly un-check it.

best regards

Hi Ola,

did you know where these settings are saved ? In the registry or in any other wd-specific file ?

Hi Michael,

Sorry, no, I have not had the time to dig in deeply into WD's soul.

best regards

Hi Ola,

same problem here with the setting for "cycle the code windows".
But I have also no solution for it.

I wrote PC Soft ... but no response ... they are in holidays ????

PC Soft wrote:

1. The error is unknown (can´t believe this)
2. If I can´t send them a isolated project with this error they can´t investigate this.

Looks like another useless attempt to help them to fix an error. :-(
