Windev and Webdev in the same project folder ?

Startbeitrag von Michael Drechsel am 29.05.2009 08:59

Hi,

I am beginning to develop the webdev-solution for an existing windev project.
First question:

I need the same analysis and the same querys and reports.
Sould I create an own project for webdev or can I create it with the same windev-project-folder ??

Antworten:

You don't need to create it in the same folder to share the analysis, reports, querys or some other elements.
The same folder or not it's just a matter of organization.
Keep it separated is the best choice in my opinion.
To share elements you can do it in several ways, just link them from the original folders, use librarys, components.

You can do it even by programming using LoadWDL for project elements and HOpenAnalysis to change the analysis.

Hi...

even worse than the previous answer:

You can EVEN NOT cretae a second project, but just declare a second TARGET inside the same project (projects configuration)...

In that case, you are sharing the same project (everything is in the wdp) and you can reuse anything for your second target, and in particular classes or procedures

Best regards

Hi.

I do a kind of similar thing with two windev project.
With the GDS you can link the analysis with the two projects. (every
modifications made to the analysis form any project will be made to the
others)
The analysis is in the same format for windev and webdev so it should
be easy to link the analysis between your projects.
If you don't use the GDS, create you project in it's own folder. when it
ask you for analysis said that you will use an existing one. Then it
will ask you the location of a windev analysis or to import it form an
other SGBD, just point to your windev analysis(in the original
windev-project-folder) and the project will use the same analysis.

Bye

Goof
