WD15 - How to change "Reset if Zero", in runtime ?

Startbeitrag von Andres Sanchez am 22.07.2010 00:25

Hi

I am trying to change the setting of the "Reset if Zero" checkbox, in runtime.
the control is an ITEM in a Report.

Anyone ?

Thanks

Andres Sanchez

Antworten:

Hi Andres,

I would go the other way around.
If you already need code, just forget about reset if zero.
Change the item type into string and fill it by code.

Piet

Yes, I know that was my next option, but it seems that PCSoft can fix this with very little effort.

I will send a message to PCSoft on this matter.

Thanks

Andres

Hi all!

I need to do this too, so I just wonder whether there has been any development with this subject? It would really be nice to be able to programmatically reset numeric item fields in reports to "empty"...

So, if I change a numeric item field in a report to string, then obviously automatic column calculations won't work with it any more. Should I then maintain a numeric field also, maybe hidden outside the report, in order to get the calculations right?

Best regards
Ola

I never used it but probably the ..inputmask property can help you.
check the notes in the section Multiple input mask.

I don't know for sure if it will work in a report, but in forms you can set numeric items to "empty" by: item = NULL.

Thanks Paulo and Jeff

Jeff's suggestion seemed simpler so I tried it first, and yes: it works!

Many, many thanks!

best regards
