Webdev22 using JQuery example

Startbeitrag von DW am 18.12.2017 13:37

Hello All,

Does anyone have an example of how to use a JQuery object in a Webdev project.

I am trying to test using FullCalendar in a project. There are no examples of using JQuery objects in a webdev project so if anyone has done something like this could you please share an example so all of us can have a starting point.

I did see an example of a JQueryUI slider but it is in French and without understanding the language I still can not figure it out.

Re: Webdev using JQuery example

Hi. What version of Webdev? WB22 has support to more easily use various types of javascript frameworks. In previous versions you can include HTML control on the page and include in the HTML code and javascript you need.

Hi. You can use https://codepen.io/# to test your jQuery code and then use the new Webdev 22 Web Component to include the jQuery code in your web page.

Hi Dw,

I also tried the new feature, but as it did not work out of the box I didn't waste anymore time, because "the old way" works fine for me.
FullCalendar seems like a lot to take on, because if only does the display part. You need to use the callback functions to make it work.

That being said, here's a simple example of the jQuery Calendar.

A local procedure (sEdit is the alias of the edit control:

RESULT StringBuild([
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://code.jquery.com/ui/1.12.1/themes/base/jquery-ui.css">;
<script src="https://code.jquery.com/ui/1.12.1/jquery-ui.js"></script>;
$( function() {
$( "#%1" ).datepicker({
} );

Then call it in the page global declarations:

I prefer this method, because I can easily tweak the script using stringbuild.
Now you can use jQueryExecute or pure javascript to use the functions described in the plugin's API documentation.

Kind regards,
