Role based security access

Startbeitrag von PETER ZHOU am 07.11.2010 03:08

Hi,

Is windev's user groupware "fit" into the Role-Based security access model ?

What's the difference ?

Regards,

PETER ZHOU

Antworten:

Peter,

Yes it can.Role based doesn't say anything about the technology except that you can authorize on group base. The rest is all procedural and determination.

For example we have 2 users.

Carlo & Peter

In my RBAC model I have determined the roles Developer and Projectmanager

Projectmanager has to have
Domain account with application access MS Office & Project, a mail account and access to the CRM application based on the group Project Managers

Developer has to have
Domain account with local admin on his machine, application access MS Office & Project, WinDev, WebDev, WinDev mobile and access to the CRM application based on the group Developers.

Now there is a new developer hired and I have to request the security department to grant him the role developer.

As you can see now the security department needs to grant him authorisations in the different systems this can be done per system or maybe the systems can integrate with eachother (Single Sign On).

I also inserted the link to the Wiki of RBAC, maybe it wil explain it better then my post.

Cheers,
